On November 17, the fire and rescue branch second-class merit citation honoring ceremony was held by the Yancheng municipality. Party secretary Cao Lubao, and Zhou Bin, Vice Party Secretary and acting mayor, attended and met representatives of heroes then awarded them with medals and merit citations.

Establishing fire and rescue teams is the Central Committee of the Party’s strategic policy to modernization of governance system and capacity. In recent years, Yancheng’s fire and rescue team has persisted in principle of staying loyal to Party, being strict in discipline, going through fire and water, serving the people, fulfilling their duty and shouldering critical battle against major tasks, which plays a significant role in maintaining society stability. All the crew bearing no fear of hardship and sacrifice, they rush towards the challenges as long as the order is given and safeguard people’s happiness wholeheartedly. Among the heroes and role models, Xihuan Road station stands out. On the first national commendation conference to honor role models in the field of emergency management and loyal guards in the fire-fighting sector, the Xihuan Road station staff were honored as the advanced unit. Zhao Yi, the instructor made a speech and was met with General Secretary Xi Jinping, winning superior honor for our city. In order to expand the influence of these role models, the fire and rescue branch was honored the second-class merit citation by the municipality, encouraging them to treasure this and make continuous efforts to show the deeds as “never divorcing ourselves from the due obligations, portraying as model CPC members with integrity in ordinary days, devotion in critical times and sacrifices at the moments of crisis” and contributing further into the modernization of new Yancheng in the way of “strong economy, rich people, beautiful environment and advanced social civilization”.
