On the morning of November 19, the Huanghai New District Construction and Development Mobilization Meeting was held to mobilize the whole city to earnestly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s strategic thought on ocean power, actively seize the opportunity that the coastal development strategy in Jiangsu is about to upgrade to a national one. We should build the Huanghai New District at a high level and as a key step for our coastal high-quality opening-up and development. We will make every effort to build a strategic platform and important window for participating in international and domestic competition and cooperation, promote the acceleration of the northern area of Yancheng, and strive to make key coastal variables into the largest increase in modernization. Party secretary Cao Lubao attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhou Bin, deputy party secretary and acting mayor, made work arrangements. Chen Honghong, chairman of the CPPCC, and Yang Weida, deputy party secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the meeting.

        The Huanghai New District takes the national-level new area as the benchmark, the national-level development zone as the target, and the provincial-level development zone as the starting point. Aiming on Shanghai Pudong New Area and Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, we insist on promoting production with ports and rejuvenating the city with production, and actively constructs 616-square-kilometers area with the spatial pattern of “two ports, two cities, and four zones”. The two ports, namely the Binhai Port Area and the Xiangshui Port Area of Yancheng Port, are large open channels. The two cities, namely Moon Bay Port City and Chenjiagang Port City, are new urban spaces. The four zones are four characteristic industrial zones which are the main industrial base. The three major sectors are organically connected and mutually support each other, which together constitute the main strategic framework for the development of the Huanghai New District.
