On March 29, the Panamanian-flagged ro-ro ship “Zhonghai 777” soundly docked at Berth No.1 of Yancheng Port Binhai Port Zone, marking the successful trial voyage of the new Yancheng Port Binhai District-Dubai Jebel Ali (UAE) car shipping route.
This route launch represents a key initiative by Yancheng Port Group to implement the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government’s directives on high-quality marine economic development. It also underscores Binhai District’s ambition to establish itself as a specialized energy industry port. Collaboration among the Port, the shipping company and the logistics company ensured seamless operations through tailored solutions and one-stop navigation services, achieving “zero waiting time” and expedited departures thus paving the way for optimizing Yancheng Port’s foreign trade network, enhancing openness, and solidifying its role as a new hub for ro-ro ship logistics.
The voyage transported approximately 600 vehicles from brands including BYD, Yueda Kia, Chery, and Jetour. Regular commercial operations will commence in April with bulk cargo shipments. “The facilities and services of the Port impressed us deeply,” said a client. From route planning and cargo loading to transportation safety, their professionalism and dedication were evident. The client highlighted the port’s services effectively addressed last-mile challenges for car exports.
